Model guns for pageant crown

The 25-year-old is one of the finalists of Miss North Coast KZN 2023 and she needs donations and votes as she vies for the title.

Tarusha Gounder needs your help to bring the Miss North Coast KZN 2023 crown to the South Coast.

The 25-year-old is a finalist in the pageant and she needs donations and votes as she guns for the title.
According to the founders of the pageant, Miss North Coast KZN is more than just a pageant – it’s a women’s empowerment and leadership programme aimed at recognising and celebrating the strength and potential of women and girls in KZN.

They added that their mission is to empower, educate and uplift through providing a platform for individuals to become inspiring role models in the community.

Gounder needs donations such as sanitary and hygiene products for her campaign ‘Keep a Girl Child in School’ campaign.

The Miss North Coast KZN hopeful works at the Shelly Centre as a marketing and exhibitions coordinator.
She told Fever that she has always had passion for pageantry.

“I always had a passion for modelling ever since I was a kid, so at the tender age of five, I started chasing after my dreams and entering pageants. Although modelling has always been a dream of mine, I am also fascinated by fashion trends and how individuals wear clothes to represent themselves. Pageantry gives me the opportunity to grow and learn more about the field,” she said.

The Marburg resident has previously held pageantry titles such as Miss KZN 2019 and Miss Ubuntu 2022.
In August, Gounder was selected as a top 10 finalist in the Face of Gynaguard 2023 competition.

The organisers of the pageant said that Gounder needs to complete a few tasks by October 19 at 5pm in order to qualify.

They said a R900 sponsorship fee needs to be raised, saying that only finalists who complete the tasks will have the opportunity to walk in their state-of-the-art pageant at Simbithi Country Club in Ballito on October 21.
Meanwhile, Gounder said she would like to thank those who have already sponsored in cash and kind.

“I still need to continue fundraising and sponsorship is still welcomed. I can be contacted on tgoundz@gmail.com to arrange collections. Please also vote for me by visiting: https://www.sabeautymodeling.com/missnorthcoastkzn-vote-tarushagounder,” she said
