Cricket all set for summer sizzle

The season is jam-packed with fixtures.

The Southern KZN summer season has started with a flourish, with 14 teams taking part in the two divisions.
In round one, three of the four T20 games came right down to the wire. Games were played at Port Shepstone Country Club and Suid-Natal High.

Port Shepstone CC (Division 1):
Defending champions Hibiscus Ballies lost to Port Shepstone Country club by five runs, with a brilliant final over from Kevin Manthey that got Country Club home.

In the afternoon game at Port Shepstone, there was another upset as powerhouse Kings XI got an absolute hiding from newly promoted Legends CC.
For their first game in the top division, it couldn’t have gone any better and shows how tight this year’s competition will be.
