Umbango Temple observes prayers

Devotees are welcome to contribute and take part in the daily obayams.

The Umbango Sri Siva Soobramoniar Temple will observe several prayers during the fasting period in September and October.

The temple invites all to the Purtassi and Narisimha Prayer on Saturday, September 23 and October 14 (last Purtassi Saturday).

Hawan will commence at 15:00 followed by bhajans in praise of Lord Venkateswara. Prasadam will be served.

The annual Maha Navagraha Mahayanem (nine planet prayer) takes place on Monday, September 25 from 07:00.
Devotees are welcome to participate in this prayer.

The annual Jhunda prayer takes place on Sunday, October 15. Hawan will commence at 08:00, followed by the main prayer at 10:00. Lunch and prasadam will be provided.

The Maha Navarathri prayers will start from Sunday, October 15 until Monday, October 23. Prayer times will be 18:00 daily. Prasadam will be served.

Devotees are welcome to contribute and take part in the daily obayams.

The Maha Saraswathi prayer is on Monday, October 23. Hawan will start at 18:00 followed by a special service. The tying of strings will be done by Gurukkul Mahalingam Iyer.
