Tweni 2s gives back in style

It's all about giving back for the organisers of the Tweni 2s surfing competition.

Three more recipients of the overflow of Tweni 2s surfing competition’s generosity have been surfer Jordie Boshoff, Tidy Towns in Umtentweni and golfer Cameron Olivant.

The Horlock family in Pete, Lindy and their son Derek, have been determined to give back to the community from funds generated at the popular surfing event.

They have made a point of supporting the Ugu Surfriders team and this year donated R10 000 towards helping the top surfers get to the SA Champs.

Tidy Towns, represented by Leila Edwards, a community stalwart of note, also received a cheque to help it continue to do the good work of beautifying the area where possible.

One such project has been the remake and erecting of railings down to the beach at The Spot.
Promising golfer, Cameron Olivant, also received some cash to help him develop what is a very promising game.

He’s only 14 and already shooting scores of around level par and sometimes even lower.
He’s part of the KZN Golf Union’s programme, in conjunction with the McKenna Academy based at Umhlali Country Club, identifying young talent.

Clay Turrell also received funding from Tweni 2s to help him get to surf contests around the country.
