Teams battle it out in football league

The game between Seven Stars and Strivers was the highlight of the day with a final score of 6-1.

Week eight of the Gamalakhe Local Football Association league is done and dusted, and the teams are looking forward to the next round of games.

Coach and chairman of the league, Tino Sbukwana said 12 teams battled it out last Saturday and Sunday.
Sbukwana said, on Saturday, Juventus won 2-0 against Gunners while Scefesimnandi scored a whopping 6 goals to 1 against Hot Spurs.

“The results on the log are very tight and the players are giving their all on the field. On Sunday, we had Tiny Town battle it out against Citizen, finishing the match with a 3-1 score. Warriors took on Mthini FC and the score was 2-1, while Sunshine drew 1-1 in their match against Gamalakhe Campus,” he added.

He said the game between Seven Stars and Strivers was the highlight of the day with a final score of 6-1.

“Well done to all the teams and we can’t wait to see the last team standing at the end of the league,”Sbukwana concluded.
