Izotsha collects puzzles for non-profit

In other news, there were delightful renditions during the speech and drama festival.

Izotsha Primary School participated in a puzzle drive, collecting puzzles for Siyakwazi, an NPO supporting children with disabilities and barriers to learning.

Grades R to 3 classes participated in and delivered delightful renditions of their learnt and set choral verse pieces during the speech and drama festival.

Grade R to seven learners also had a number of individual entries in various categories. Thanks to Barbie Meyer for adjudicating all the entries.

The U11 and U13 boys and girls soccer teams participated in matches against Southcity. Many new skills were learnt and much fun was had by all.

Grade 4 to 7 cross-country team members participated in an inter-school event hosted by Port Edward Primary. The cool weather was certainly a help for the challenges of the course. A number of runners were placed in the top five positions of each age category race.

The Foundation Phase hosted their inter-house athletics last Friday. They enjoyed the fun-filled, jubilant event. Panther was the top scoring house with Jaguar second and Leopard third.

The school hosted a most successful gala event and silent auction last Friday night as part of the school’s 140-year celebrations. The hall was beautifully draped and decorated. The music, dancing, food and festivities were enjoyed by all.
