Sheppie High paints with St Martin de Porres

Sheppie High aims to create a safe environment where no one feels like they are alone.

The Sheppie High Interact Club paid a visit to St Martin de Porres Comprehensive School last week, where they interacted with the learners from St Martins and helped paint their walls.

The Sheppie learners were given sign names and enjoyed their time with hearing impaired, taking on board a valuable lesson – that being deaf is not a disability, it’s an identity.

Make sure to head over to the Sheppie High Interact page on Instagram @letsinteractnow to hear more of what there is to living as and integrating with the hearing impaired.

The school has also launched its first-ever Mental Wealth campaign, to highlight the necessity of mental health.

Grade 8 learner, Blake Hogan, held the Sheppie High flag very high at the recent UFAK Region South Karate Championships held in Zimbabwe.
Blake was awarded a gold medal in the 12/13 kumite division.
