Karateka bring home medals – again

The recent tournament was held in Durban.

A group of karateka, once again, did the region proud when they represented WKF Ugu Karate at the KSA Open and Development Championships held in Durban recently.

The tournament was held at the UKZN Old Mutual Sports Hall, Howard College Campus from July 14 to 16.
The club is extremely proud of both the elite and development athletes, who brought home medals in their respective categories.

Elite: Mikhail Peeriyalal (silver kumite), Dylan Peeriyalal (bronze kumite), Blake Hogan (gold kumite), Tyler Hogan (gold kata), Miguel Gous (bronze kumite), Tyrese Faro (bronze kumite), Tyler Gous (bronze kumite), Ilhaam Amod (bronze kumite).

Development: Neriah Peeriyalal (gold kumite, silver kata), Emir Sahli (bronze kata), Sarah Sahli (gold kumite), Bernardt Pretorius (gold unison, bronze kumite), Tristan Appalraju (gold unison, bronze kumite), Gideon Jansen van Vuuren (gold unison).
