Discover the challenges and adventures of these intrepid travellers, as well as the tales of shipwrecks along these shores, by visiting the Port Shepstone Maritime Museum on the Port Shepstone beachfront.
The museum opened in October 2018 and is committed to growing the appreciation of the local heritage, history, and tourism, for sustainable development and to promote social cohesion.
It aims to form collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders to empower communities with museum knowledge and skills, educational programmes, careers, research, collections and exhibitions, events, etc.
