KZN Legislature swears in Inkosi Ndwalane

Ndwalane was sworn in by the Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, Nontembeko Boyce, following a vacancy in the ANC component.

The African National Congress in the Tolomane Mnyayiza Region has congratulated Inkosi Sazi Ndwalane of the Ndwalane Traditional Council after he was sworn in a member of the provincial legislature on Tuesday.
Ndwalane was sworn in by the Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature, Nontembeko Boyce, following a vacancy in the ANC component.

Zenzele Msomi, manager in the office of the provincial chief whip, told Fever that the vacancy came after Sihle Zikalala, former KZN Cogta MEC, resigned from the provincial legislature to join the South African national assembly and to attend to his duties as the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure.

“There were two vacancies available, the first one was when Sihle Zikalala went to national, comrade Mervyn Dirks then moved to the KZN Legislature, and he was also sworn in alongside Inkosi Ndwalane. When the former KZN MEC for Education, Kwazi Mshengu, resigned from his portfolio and as a member of the KZN Legislature, that ANC seat became available, and now Inkosi Ndwalane has filled it,” said Msomi.

Speaking to Fever, ANC Tolomane Mnyayiza regional secretary, Xolani Luthuli said as the region, they are pleased with the decision of appointing Inkosi Ndwalane into the KZN Legislature.
“We appreciate this so much as the region where Inkosi Ndwalane comes from, more so because as the ANC in the region, we work very well in the community with Inkosi Ndwalane,” said Luthuli.
