MARGATE BC
Margate Bowling Club is again hosting Margate Week, from May 1 to 5, with some 200 players (and family) expected.
There will be a musical show ‘Roar’ on Thursday, May 4 at 18:30.
Players from all over South Africa take part in a week of convivial bowling.
This year marks the 55th time the event takes place.
Old friendships are celebrated and new ones forged.
Teams of four players compete and there are 40 teams entered so far.
The event begins with a guest of honour rolling the first bowl, on the Monday at around 08:30.
Hibiscus Brokers Ladies Trips was won by Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Winnie Hess.
Runners-up were Maureen Muller, Sannie Balzer and Pat Maulgue.
Second session went to Annette Symes, Moira Faure and Rentia Williamson.
Lucky draw was won by Maureen Muller.

SOUTHBROOM
Winning the JL Panelbeaters’ Men’s fours were Trevor Haywood, Donnovan Mulder, Gerry Davey and Brian Douthwaite.
Runners-up were Shane Nienaber, Ross Ferguson, Ron Weddell and Andre Malgue.
In third place were Tony Waters, Cleve Walker, Glenn Hatfield and Ian Hunter.

HIBBERDENE
Hibberdene Pharmacy drawn trips were won by Jan Oosthuizen, Estelle Quinn and Nora Swart.
Second were Wollie Wolmarans, Rnetie Stevens and Bubbles Bezuidenhout.
Third were Martin Rautenbach, Rienie Blignault and Pauline Howle.

PORT EDWARD
Debonairs Pro 10 Trips was won by Chris Green, Leoni Booth and Maureen van der Poel.
Runners-up were Elbe Snyman, Barry Payn and Hedley Meek.
Session prize wnet to Chris Pozane, Amanda Visser and Johan Visser.

THE BELL
Well done to Sharolyn Dacey, Dina van der Walt, Stuart Chapple and Andre Kruis for winning a bronze medal last weekend in the KBA ladies and mens pairs.
The Food Lover’s Market 2-4-2 was won by Neil and Nossie Patterson.
Runners-up were Wayne and Amanda Taylor, session to Christopher Danca and Khaya Hlongwa.
