Sports on the go at Izotsha

The U13A cricket team played a friendly match against the staff, it was a spirit filled event with good sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Izotsha Primary School is exceptionally proud of Ella Bunge who has been awarded her KZN colours for swimming. She will be representing KZN at the upcoming National Championships.

The Foundation Phase girls (Grades 1, 2 and 3 A and B teams) participated in hockey tournaments at Southcity. Much fun was had by all. Thanks to Southcity for organising it well. It was good experience for the girls.

Congratulations to U13 boys – Zack Apostolides, Rayne Riley and Andrew Cornhill, and U11 boys – Jacob Steynberg, Kaleb de Beer and Sphephelo Mlambo who have been selected for their respective age group SKZN Cricket 15-man squads.
The Foundation Phase swimming teams participated in two inter-school galas, one at Creston College (Individual Gala). Izotsha were the overall winners. Congratulations to Eve Steynberg (Grade 2 girls), Tydan Nadauld (Grade 2 boys) and Grayson Greco (Grade 3 boys) who were all age group winners.

The second gala was a relay gala hosted by Southcity. Izotsha tied in first position with Southcity.
The U13A cricket team played a friendly match against the staff last Thursday. It was a spirit filled event with good sportsmanship and camaraderie. The staff won the match.

A number of learners participated in the Ugu hockey trials last Saturday. Congratulations to the learners who have been selected to represent their respective age groups: U12 boys: Callum Heydricks, Matthew Evans, Brad Apostolides, Jayden Letchki and Ethan Browne. U12 girls: Ella Bunge, Owam Sikutshwa. U13 girls: Megan Pretorius, Jenna Grobler, Anothe Gcaba and Layla Gray. U13 boys: Zack Apostolides, Rayne Riley, Andrew Cornhill and Dylan Prepok.

The learners are looking forward to the pre-season winter sports practises which begin this week.
