Port Shepstone Islamic School hosted a Pedal Tennis exhibition recently. Staff, learners and members of the community converged around the newly built Pedal Tennis Courts on the Astro Arena in Albersville, to satisfy their curiosity on this fast growing sport.

Enthusiasts from Al-Falaah College (Durban) and the local community took part in various friendly matches.

Grade 4 learners participated in a KFC mini cricket tournament held at the Port Shepstone Country Club. Learners were oozing with excitement eager to practice their skills. Ayaan Feisal exhibited his bowling prowess with a magnificent hat-trick.

While Uzair Dindar, Muhammad Khamissa and Abdullah Sidat displayed immense spirit, the game was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The Grade 11 fundraising event was well supported.

Grade 12 learners had a midweek break out of the classroom as they treaded the hiking trails of the Oribi Gorge.

It is hoped that this exercise relieved some of their matric stress as they together with the rest of the school shortly resume with the end of term assessments.
