A support group will meet at the Umkomaas library every Saturday.

It has been yet another successful week for the local non-profit recovery organisation, Laqhakaza Iphara.

“We launched the NA meeting in Isitholimpilo for non-smokers too, so if you are a NA member that is not even smoking cigarettes, you are more than welcome to visit this centre,” said Laqhakaza Iphara chairman, Emmanuel Msomi.

Later on, an addiction awareness campaign and career expo was held in Magabheni, Umkomaas and appreciated by all who attended.
The recovery organisation thanks all Ward 99 stakeholders who were there and to those who were not there physically, were thanked in absentia.

“The people of Magabheni and Umkomaas in general, you are also notified of a support group at Umkomaas library, every Saturday from 11:00 to 12:00,” added Msomi.

“To those who want us to help them with rehabilitation services, you must attend at least six meetings and see our social worker and our addiction counsellor first.”
