New acting principal at Sheppie High

Kerry McKillen has been instrumental to the success of this institution for the past few years, and has served tirelessly as Deputy Principal for Administration and Academics for the past year.

Port Shepstone High School (PSHS) has appointed Kerry McKillen as acting principal.
She has been an integral part of the school for many years, having matriculated in 1996.

Ms McKillen joined as a School Assistant in 2001, where she began the journey to continue the legacy her family has had at PSHS.
Both of her parents were beloved educators and had a massive impact on this institution, especially when her father, Pete McKillen took on the reigns of principal in 2002.

Ms McKillen began teaching Physical Sciences in 2005 and was appointed by the school governing body as a head of grade in 2011.
She has been instrumental to the success of this institution for the past few years, and has served tirelessly as deputy principal for Administration and Academics for the past year.

Ms McKillen is a dedicated member of the school and has contributed greatly to both learner and staff development. She has consistently inspired and guided the PSHS family with an ever-steady hand, and we look forward to this exciting new era of leadership.
Ms McKillen is stepping into this vital role after Kathi Nel retired at the end of January 2023. PSHS is greatly indebted to Mrs Nel for the selfless, caring and meticulous way in which she faithfully served this institution.
Stepping into the crucial role of acting deputy principal for Administration and Academics is Pravisha Moodley, and we are excited for the road ahead.
