Hospice needs volunteers and donations

The three Khanya Hospice shops are in Pennington, Scottburgh and Amanzimtoti.

The Khanya Hospice charity shops are still in need of volunteers.

There are three shops in the area – Pennington, Scottburgh and Amanzimtoti – which need support and assistance.

The Amanzimtoti shop just welcomed Ronel Van Reenen, the new manager. The previous manager, Sarie Pretorius, who has been a hospice supporter and based at the charity shop for many years, had a stroke in September 2022 while visiting her children in Australia, which left her paralysed on the left side and unable to work again.

Sarie is thanked by Umkomaas based Khanya Hospice for all she has done, and is wished a speedy recovery. New manager Ronel is also wished well.

Locals are encouraged to come forward like Ronel, to work at the other hospice shops too.
If you are unable to volunteer, consider donating items such as furniture, cutlery, crockery, etc. Hospice can be contacted on 083 5978985 or hospice@khanyahospice.co.za
