Ugu announces death of mayor, Phumlile Mthiyane
The municipality has lost two leaders in the last few days.
Ugu District Municipality’s mayor, Phumlile Mthiyane died earlier today.
In a statement released by Ugu, the cause of Mthiyane’s death is unknown at this stage
It is a double tragedy, as Ugu Municipal Manager, Dr Elliot Ntombela died due to illness last Saturday.
