Margate cops remove R100 000 worth of drugs off streets

Two foreign nationals were arrested.

The Margate Drug task Team continues to make a dent in the drug trade in the CBD and surrounding areas of Margate. Police spokesman Captain Petros Mpinge said the team conducted regular stop and search operations which resulted in a man (41) being arrested for being in possession of 15 heroin capsules last week Friday (November 18).

As the police members were reporting off duty, reliable information led them to a residence in Seaslopes, Uvongo where two foreign nationals, aged 36 and 35, were arrested. A plastic bag containing crystal meth to the street value of R91 600 and small plastic bags containing cocaine and methcathinone (Cat) to the value of R8600 were recovered.
