Large turnout at sponsored bowls competition

AMBC crowned a number of winners on the day.

The annual CYMA Construction sponsored day was played last Saturday. AMBC filled two greens with 72 players.

Congratulations to the following teams:

Runners-up: Ken Johnson (CYMA Construction) with Richard van Waltsleven, Jean Thomassen, Alex Cameron (AMBC president) and Tony Hoggins.

Winners on 35 + 28 Ellen Cawker, Derick McKechnie and Georgie McKechnie. Runners-up on 34 + 26 Richard van Waltsleven, Tony Hoggins and Jean Thomassen. Third prize on 33 + 16 Trevor Spring, Hilary Holmes and Pam Spring. The session prize on 13 + 10 went to Brian Navias, Rose Daniel and Pat Navias.

Thanks to the ladies in the kitchen and Jackie Hutchins in the bar. Lunch was provided by Kyle Anderson from the Anchored Boat Restaurant in Pennington. Well done to Fred Hutchins for running the competition.

Men’s Trips winners Alan Towers, Colin Winton and Ron Boyd.

The J Leslie Smith & Co Men’s Trips was played last Thursday. The winners were Colin Winton, Alen Towers and Ron Boyd with a score of 4+21. Runners-up with a score of 4+12 were Kevin O’Donoghue, Tony Hoggins and Denton Duvel. The session prize went to Len Brickhill, Mike Morduant and Billy Smith with a score of 2+10.
