World champs beckons for personal trainers

Hard work and dedication has paid off.

It’s been a grueling two weeks for athletes from Superbodies Margate as they have competed in two competitions – the IFF KZN Bodybuilding and Fitness Champs in Durban and the IFFF SA Champs in Gauteng.

Personal trainers Thandazane Ntsimbi and Shannon Lehmann excelled at the latter, which was held last weekend.

Thandazane placed first in the U80kg division while Shannon achieved second spot in the wellness short division.

They have both qualified to represent South Africa in the IFBB world championships to be held in Spain in November this year.

Shannon said she was grateful for her achievements as she had to overcome a number of obstacles leading up to the competition.

In the KZN champs, Shannon won the ladies wellness Under 166cm.

Thandazane placed second in the men’s U80kg division.
