Creston golf day tees off in aid of matric dance
There was a wonderful atmosphere on the day.
Despite the cool, damp and windy weather, the annual Creston College Golf Day held at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday was successful and very well attended, with a field of 96 players teeing it up.
The purpose of the event is to raise funds for the upcoming matric dance.
The main sponsor was Bates Motors, aided by many others, too numerous to mention,
Winners on the day were Terry Kotze and Sandi Burger, followed by Guy Spittal and Erik de Jager.
In third place were Mlondi Zithumane and Phiwa Mkhoma.
Nearest the pins were Phiwa Mkhoma (5th), Marcell Sass (8th), Terry Kotze (14th), Theo Nicholls (17th).
Longest Drive: 9th – Rhys Mills and Cecelia Verster; 10th – Phiwa Mkhoma; 18th – Juan van den Berg and Debi Stewart.
Earlier in the day the fun Par 3 Challenge was held and won by Howard Crouch and Nicola Vancoillie.
Runners-up were Ryan Ringo and Ronan Rogers, followed by Diana Ringo and Jamie Rogers.
