Three fishermen were lucky to escape with minor injuries, after the ski-boat they were launching capsized off Shelly Beach a short while ago.
Glen Preston of Med-Evac said his team together with staff from KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board and crew from Shelly Beach NSRI helped the skipper and two passengers safely to shore.

“The fishermen had minor injuries and the vessel washed up onto the rocks,” said Preston.
It appears the ski-boat had engine failure while trying to launch, it was further hit by a wave and pushed over.

The fishing charter, which was badly damaged, was later towed off the beach.
