Pro Vision golf has ‘Midas’ touch

Preggie Naidu and Kishal Reddy win the Pro Vision Golf and Social Club 15th anniversary golf day.

Pro Vision Golf and Social Club hosted its 15th anniversary golf day at the Port Shepstone Country Club last Sunday. Dubbed the Super Auto Midas Golf Day, it certainly lived up to that ‘Midas’ touch.

The competition heeded a record number of entrants in a combined Stableford format. This golf day has always attracted participants from all over the country and each player received a golf goodie bag valued at R200 from Super Auto Midas Group.

The club could not find the words to express their gratitude to Steven and Kishal Reddy and Nathan Appalraju, of Midas. Sponsors never thought twice and hosted 12 watering holes.

Despite the cold and wind, players hearts were warmed by the refreshments and gifts given to them by the various sponsors.

Jess Verster, of Port Shepstone Country Club praised Pro Vision on their success over the years and their well organised golf days.

Jess also pledged that he and his son will join the Pro Vision family, which has grown from a group of 14 friends in 2007 to a astounding 80 members from all communities with new novice golfers joining every day.

Funds raised from this event and the previous golf days were generously denoted to various local charities, feeding schemes, food parcels and persons in need of medical assistance. An amount of over R500 000 has been donated over the past 15 years.

In a field of 132, prizes were given to the top 25 teams and topping the pack were Preggie Naidu and Kishal Reddy counting out second place Rajen Naidoo and Ganes Munsami on 71 points.
