Sea Park serial rapist sentenced
Sibiya was sentenced to an effective 123 years, these counts will run concurrently.
Sea Park serial rapist Sanele Siyabonga Mbuso Sotobe Sibiya (36) was handed a 35-year jail sentence in the Scottburgh High Court last Wednesday.
Sibiya faced 14 counts which included theft, attempted murder, two counts of attempted rape, housebreaking with intent to steal, five counts of robbery with aggravating circumstances, two counts of rape, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition.
He was found guilty on 12 counts.
Sibiya was sentenced to an effective 123 years, these counts will run concurrently.
He was found not guilty on count 13 (the unlawful possession of a firearm) and count 14 (the unlawful possession of ammunition).
There will be a non-parole period of 20 years.
