Several witnesses (and victims) have testified so far this week.

The trial is believed to be continuing on Thursday.

Sibiya was arrested by members of Saps Southport Detective Service, detectives from Ugu District Operational Command Centre as well as members from Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Port Shepstone in Umgababa on February 22.

His arrest was welcomed by residents of Sea Park and Southport who lived in fear for more than a month, uncertain as to when he would strike next.

For weeks, police and detectives from Southport police station, led by detective Mark John, supported by members from Southport Sector 1 Policing Forum, a private investigator and various security companies assisted in the manhunt for the alleged rapist.

Detectives also produced an identikit of the possible rapist which was circulated everywhere. A R20 000 reward was also offered for information.
