Congratulations to Bayanda Hufner, Alex-Zandre Labuschagne, Leah Scott, Tristan Horsley, Jayden Vermeulen, Kade Orsmond and Kaitlin Ramos who were invited to participate in the Grand Prix gala at Kings Park this weekend.

This is a national gala where they swim in the ladies or men’s events (not age groups).

Special mention to be made of Leah Scott who took an incredible 26 seconds off her previous best for the 200m breaststroke.

A highlight of this gala was meeting Chad Le Clos (some of the Southcity swimmers swam in the same event as him).
