Science boffins celebrated at Port Shepstone Secondary

Learner selection was based off academic achievements in mathematics and physical science.

It has been a busy past month for Port Shepstone Secondary School’s Grade 11 and 12 learners.

Four matric learners attended a talent development programme in Pietermaritzburg on May 29.

These learners are Tamika Naidoo, Chevelle Moodley, Mahduyya Vawda and Iman Khan.

Selections were made on the basis of their excellent achievements in mathematics and physical science.

These young ladies were overjoyed with their prizes, consisting of new tablets, data and stationery packs.

Meanwhile, three Grade 11 learners and one matric learner attended a university preparation programme in Durban on May 30.

This programme seeks to improve the educational experiences of underprivileged learners, by addressing some of the obvious challenges in the South African education system.

Selection of these learners was also based off academic achievements in mathematics and physical science.

The school wishes these young women everything of the best.
