Heavy rains continue: South Coast stats as it buckets down

Here are some of the estimated rainfall figures on the South Coast following the current inclement weather.

The South Coast has experienced extreme weather over the past two days.

Inclement weather including thunderstorms, forceful wind and heavy rainfall has caused much damage and left residents on high alert.

Rainfall figures have risen across different areas on the coast.

According to Fred Beaver of Port Edward, local farmers have estimated just over 300mm of rainfall.

Terri Peckham of Outlook Farm in Southbroom says they have measured 240mm of rain.

According to local farmers in other areas, rainfall has been estimated as follows.

Paddock: 189mm.

Harding: 107mm.

St. Faiths and Port Shepstone: 225mm.

Umzumbe: 160mm.
