New leaders elected at Port Shepstone High

The school thanked the ECLs of 2020 for a remarkable job done under trying circumstances.

Port Shepstone High School held its Executive Council of Leaders inauguration last week, where the baton was passed to the leaders for next year and the new heads of school were announced.

This year’s poignant ceremony was unfortunately closed due to Covid-19 regulations.

Fortunately, talented past learner, Hano Sholtz was able to film the occasion.

Tyler Hogan is the head boy and Mutesi Kamuhanda is the head girl for 2021.

Matrics will have to rewrite Mathematics Paper 2 and Physical Sciences Paper 2.

They are supported by their deputies, namely Eyethu Jenkins (discipline), Dev Anilkumar (mentoring), Mihle Mhlamvu (community outreach) and Vuyo Gasa (spirit and pride).

Congratulations to the new heads of school and their wonderful support team of inspirational ECLs.

It was with a heavy heart that the school shared the national news that two matric exam papers are going to have to be rewritten.

Having considered numerous factors, the Council of Education Ministers (CEM) decided that a national rewrite of both Mathematics Paper 2 and Physical Sciences Paper 2 is necessary.

Mathematics Paper 2 will now be written on Tuesday, December 15 at 2pm and Physical Sciences Paper 2 will be written on Thursday, December 17 at 9am.
