Scottburgh man kidnapped and murdered – 3 suspects in custody
When police arrived at the man’s home, they found the house covered in blood.
Three people have been arrested for the kidnap and murder of a Scottburgh man (34) earlier this week.
“When police arrived at the man’s home, they found the house covered in blood. The man’s three vehicles were also missing,” said Captain Nqobile Gwala of the Saps KZN Media Centre.
A joint operation between police and various other law enforcement agencies led to the vehicles being recovered from Umzinto, Mpophomeni and Howick.

Further investigations then led straight to the suspects, aged between 21 and 34, who were all arrested.
“The suspects took police to the Hlokozi area in Highflats where the body of the victim was found in the bush. He had been shot in the upper body,” said Captain Gwala.
The suspects are expected to appear in the Scottburgh Magistrate’s Court soon.
The KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Khombinkosi Jula commended all involved in the arrest of the murder suspects and the recovery of the vehicles.
