Jai Hind Primary welcomes new principal Dayalan Govender.
Mr Govender, who hails from Umkomaas, assumed duty at the beginning of term 3.
With 30 years of experience in the education field, he has held posts of teacher, departmental head, principal and chief education specialist of examinations and assessments at provincial level for the Department of Education.

He looks forward to an active relationship with all stakeholders in a democratic, non-racial, non-sexist environment.
Mr Govender states that the school’s motto of attempt and achieve will be attained, where every child is valued as an individual and whose skills and abilities are developed to the fullest.
He is wished well in his new post.
Pupils are currently training for the school’s annual inter-house athletics championships on July 26. Training takes place daily and athletes must be properly attired for sessions.
