The objective of Rotary was explained by Rotarian Bernie Retief and the guests were in for a little banter when sergeant-at-arms, Rotarian Ian Anderson took over. Unsurprisingly, Ian was later presented with the ‘Chirrper of the year’ award.

Jenny gave an overview of her term of office before Cherilynn was inducted. Jenny Laight was named secretary and treasurer.

The new committee is:
Ian Laight – Service Projects and Rotary Foundation; Vicki Barnard – Club Services; Tony Holness – Membership and Suresh Autar – Youth.

New president Cherilynn outlined her plans for the year ahead.

Rotarians who had left the organisation were thanked for their time and wished well in their future endeavours, and members who joined recently were warmly welcomed.
