RA Engar Primary school enjoyed a successful sports day last Friday. With great weather, adrenalin pumping athletics and enthusiastic parents and supporters the stage was set for a great day of sportsmanship.

Many fun novelty items were on the list of events, such as fill-in-the-bucket, egg and spoon, waiter’s race, sack race and medicine ball. The relays proved to be the most exciting event, with a few tumbles and nail-biting finishes.
Lotus house took an early lead, but Protea house was clearly the strongest emerging as the victorious team. Tulip House and Rose House came in third and fourth place respectively.
Not to be outdone, eager parents ended the day with an exciting mother’s and father’s race, much to the delight of their little ones.
