Progressive golf at Southbroom

Picking up a bird in the Friday Chicken Run were Jo Ledden, Malcolm Greenland, Geoff Skelton, Phil Verwey, Paul Lawson, Gary Godley, Dave Page and Heather Anderson.

THE women’s alliance at Southbroomm Golf Club last Wednesday was won by Candida Amm, Sandy FitzGerald, Michelle Davies and Janet Humphrey on 81 points.

In a tie for second place on 79 points were Jenny Westray, Di Morris, Lyn Doveton and Felix Lund, as well as Biffy Dunn, Lesley Godley, Jeanette Peyios and a ghost.

The men’s alliance went the way of John Neaves, Norman Farrell, Olliver Ransome and Rob Meydell on 91 points.

Tied for second place on 91 points were André Steyn, Craig Treherne, Leon van Schalkwyk and Christer Solgevik, along with Jim Cook, Malcolm Dunn, Mark Becker and Laurie James.

The format was a progressive alliance last Saturday, won on 95 points by Roger Phillips, Heather Anderson, Emil and Hannah Hierhold.

Again, there was a tie for second on 92 points, shared by Sandy FitzGerald, Jean Corfe, Lorraine Cook and Michelle Davies, as well as Johan Wentzel, Tony Westoby, Brian Jolliffe and Anton Kohrman.
