From the bowling greens: Riverside wrap up mixed fours

News and results from South Coast bowling clubs.

KBA

The Kingfisher Bowling Association mixed fours competition was played at The Bell and Riverside recently.

The team of Shane Nienaber, Maureen Muller, Ross Ferguson and Edith Button from Riverside took top honours with John Mitchley, Kevin O’Donoghue, Delyshia Mitchley and Sandy O’Donoghue from AMBC in second place.

Joint third were the team from Port Shepstone CC, skipped by Peter Maggs, and the team from Margate BC, skipped by Jessica Henderson.

BANNERS REST

A new committee was elected at the club’s recent annual general meeting.

President – Brian Cole-Cook; vice-president – Kotie Snyman, secretary – John Keppler, treasurer – Margaret Miller, competition secretaries – Janet and Boy Venter.

This Saturday will see the men’s first league side away to Margate, the men’s fours playing at The Bell, and the women’s third league playing at Munster.

MARGATE BC

The Halfway Toyota Shelly Beach men’s 2-4-2 was won by Gary Hess and Derick Schorn, from Gerhard and Trevor Prinsloo.

Session to Denzil Massyn and Ken Hills; 50/50 board to Manny Rodrigues.

MARGATE CC

The Hair Shoppe women’s fours were won by Mary Phelps, Amelia Pieterse, Katy Babich and Jenny Sammons.

Runners-up were Pam Cole-Cook, Ellen Cawker, Dora Vosloo and Vi Pells.

MUNSTER

Mariners open trips will be held next Tuesday (13th).

The Hibiscus Brokers mixed trips will be held on November 29.

Christmas Lunch will take place on Sunday, December 9.

Please enter your names on list on board before December 1 for catering purposes.

PSCC

The monthly Harbour View SuperSpar trips competition was won by Roy Anderson, Sandra Lucas and Graham Wood.

Runners-up were Brian Rawlins, Jenny Rawlins and Annette Suther.

Session prize went to Jane Masson, Alan Booth and Paul Mundell.

TWENI

South Coast Herald men’s pairs was won by Steve O’ Moore and Neil Ferreira, from runners-up Keith Mills and Peter Anderson.

Session prize went to Luke Pohl and Ryan Keys.

Wimpy women’s pairs was won by Sharolyn Dacey and Tina Barbour, from runners-up Astrid Jackson and Nellie Davies.

Session prize went to Tammy Gibbons and Marie Pick.
