MARGATE BC

The winners of the two-day Doug Watson Memorial tournament were Jessica Henderson, Ellen Cawker, Mike Eaton and Roy Garden.

Second and third placings were taken by teams from visiting clubs.

The popular tournament keeps alive the memory of the late Doug, one of South Africa’s finest bowlers.

In regular news, the Just So Chinese competition was won by Franci Philpot, Rennie Geyer, Margaret Duffield and André Audibert.

Crayfish Inn open 2-4-2 winners were Roy Garner and Mike from Zimbabwe.

Runners-up were Ken Tonge and Margaret Duffield.

Session to Gary Hess and Derick Shorn. 50/50 board to Hugo Pio.

Boers vs Brits tabs today (1st). Social bowls every Sunday morning at 9am. Office duty – Annette Payne.

MARGATE CC

Winners of the Warwick Invitation fours were Southbroom bowlers Mal Sheppard, Tony Waters, Cleve Walker and Julie Walker.

Runners-up were Jokkie and Mariaaan van Buuren, John Keppler and Leonie Booth from Port Edward Bowling

Club.

RIVERSIDE

Well done to Chris Green and Val Smith, winners of the Food Lover’s Market 2-4-2.

Runners-up were Brian and Joan Muir.

First session went to Graham and Anjie Gold; second session by Vi Eltis and Bill Eccles.

THE BELL

The winners of the Orca’s mixed trips were Peter Maggs, Len Rossiter and Richard Dickens.

Runners-up were Denise and Ticky Nel with Margaret Brooks.

Second session went to Louw, Charmaine and Michelle Vermeulen.

Harbour View SuperSpar mixed fours this Friday (2nd).

Due to teams withdrawing there have been several changes to the Saturday and 7’s league draws.

TWENI

The Razzel’s mixed fours was won by Alex Bukes, Werner Mody, Napier Verster and Glenda Verster, from runners-up Annette Suther, Astrid Jackson, Nellie Davies and Winnie Hess.

The session prize went to Jan Huygen, Derick Cilliers, Marie Pick and Dehlia Lew.

Hopden Manaba Kwikspar mixed 2-4-2 winners were Gary Hess and Dawn Oehley.

Runners-up were Gary and Angi Gold.

Session winners were Alan Tyers and Monica Middlewick, Gerhard Walden and Sharon Smith.
