Uvongo TC to host Southbroom

Uvongo hopes to get the trophy back.

UVONGO Tennis Club will host Southbroom Tennis Club players this Sunday afternoon, 1.30 for 2pm, in the hope of regaining the trophy previously won by their club. A round robin format is planned with partners being chosen. Social tennis will also be available. After play a ‘bring and share’ braai will take place. As salads will be supplied and refreshments will also be on sale, those wishing to braai are asked to bring only their meat. All players are encouraged to stay for the braai and also bring family members along.

As the CPR training held earlier in the month was a huge success, another training date has been arranged for Saturday, April 5 at 11am at the club. Please refer to the information on the notice board.

We welcome back both Jan Visser and Brian Danckwerts, who, due to short illnesses, had been unable to play. After a fall during play and some injuries sustained, we hope to have Sonja Watt return in the near future.

Debbie Rosenberg travelled to Singapore to be present at the safe arrival of her granddaughter, Erin Elizabeth. Duncan and Barbara Biggar has enjoyed a visit from family but specially the time they were able to spend with their grandson.

Birthday wishes to Raj Naganna and others celebrating special occasions during the month.

Duties: Saturday – Bruce Lill; Monday – Deon Burgers; Wednesday – Sonja Watt.
