Leisure Bay takes a stand against fireworks

Bumper stickers are on sale for only R30.

Looking After Leisure Bay (LALB), a non-profit organisation which tackles pressing environmental issues, is taking a stand against fireworks.

They recently launched their anti-firework campaign.

To get the message out that ‘fireworks are no thrill, fireworks kill’ they are selling bumper stickers for R30

Phillip Lennon of LALB said they are want to get the message out now, as it is pointless to wait for fireworks to begin. “Spread the message and support the cause,” added Phillip.

The stickers measure 200mm x 100mm and were designed by Brian and Leigh Wastie, two talented locals.

The stickers cost R7.88 to print. R10 goes towards the Lower South Coast SPCA and the balance will go towards LALB for their eco-patrols and snare patrols.

They will also be selling the bumper stickers at the inaugural Umtamvuna Sardine Festival taking place on July 6, 7 and 8.

If you buy more than 10, LALB will deliver them to your door if you live between Port Edward and Port Shepstone.

To order your bumper sticker send an email to lookingafterleisurebay@gmail.com or Whatsapp Phillip at 083 2997199 or Vanessa Murray at 078 0959167.
