WOW, but the year has flown! It hasn’t been the easiest of times, that’s for sure.
The world has lurched from crisis to crisis and our beautiful area has not been without its issues.
However, in these tough times, interesting things tend to be revealed.
For sure, there’s a lot of anger that appears to be simmering under the surface.
Yet even in this, with people across the board having sharply contrasting views, opinions and beliefs, some ‘ubuntu’ seems to survive.
There’s a tenaciousness evident in South African people. They just will not lie down and die!
Let’s celebrate that as we go into a new year, one which looks a little daunting all round.
It’s no time for the ostrich’s head-in-the-sand mentality.
We need each other and we need to work together to find solutions.
We need to make the coast a better place to live and a destination of choice for our visitors.
It can be done.
