Stilfontein ready to rock

Uvongo Town Hall is the place to be this Friday.

STILFONTEIN, a self-taught musician whose real name is Almur Marais, earlier this year entered for The Voice South Africa singing competition where he made it into the top four.

Despite not winning, the 26-year-old used the results of the competition to encourage himself to continue doing what he does best.

He will be hosting a rock music show at Uvongo Town Hall tomorrow (Friday, December 23).

The ‘guy with a gruff voice’ is determined to build a recognisable name for himself in the local music industry.

“The experience I derived from The Voice SA has developed me as an artist as well as an individual,” he said.

He has partnered with Twilight Entertainment and is looking forward to entertaining the locals and holidaymakers at the show.

Locals who have heard him sing believe it won’t be long before he builds a solid fan base here on the South Coast.

The show will be opened by local jazz singer, Gal-lee Tal (18) of Izotsha. There will also be a special surprise in the form of a guest artist.

Tickets will be sold at the door for R140 and are also available at Speedy in Manaba and at Twilight Entertainment.

Doors will open at 7pm.
