Toy shop’s customers help make Christmas special

Thanks to the generosity of Toys 'R' Us shoppers, some 200 children will receive gifts.

THANKS to the generous customers of Toys ‘R’ Us at Southcoast Mall, some 200 children will receive a gift this festive season.

Sagree Naicker, manager of Child Welfare, Port Shepstone, said that a list of 100 children’s names was placed at the counter and Toys ‘R’ Us customers who purchased items from the shop, also kindly bought a gift for less fortunate children.

She thanked everyone for supporting this amazing toy drive and explained that these gifts would be given by their Child Welfare social workers to 100 children.

The remainder of the gifts would be distributed to rural children.

Vasantha Naidu, manager of Toys ‘R’ Us, explained it was an annual drive, but they were always ready to help where they could, during the year.

She thanked their customers for the generous and overwhelming support.
