South Coast dogs place really well

Pop along to see the South Coast Dogs in Action this Sunday.

TWO shows were recently held at the Borough Grounds in Port Shepstone and both were very successful for handlers and dogs.

Margate Kennel Club Open Show, June 19: Dog Jumping: Grade 1 – second, Spark and Gail Taylor; third, Romulus and Ann Shaw; grade 3 – first, Scooby and Gaby Frey; second, Sebastian and Michelle Howard; third, Tessa and Heather Moorcroft. Grade 5 – first, Page and Heather Moorcroft; grade 2 – first, Bondi and Ann Shaw; second, Cassey and Gaby Frey; third, KT and Gaby Frey. Grade 4 – first, Gunner and Billy-Ann Engelbrecht; second, Dante and Desiree Grutter; third Charlie and Sharon Derman. Grade 6 – first, Pooh Bear and Karen Salhus; second Gigi and Maritha Delport

The Bluff Dog Club Open Show on June 26 should have taken place in Scottburgh, but equipment from Durban could not be towed and the show was cancelled. Hibiscus Kennel Club offered their grounds and equipment and the show could go on.

Renate Hausmann achieved first places with both Beetlebug and Banshee. Ninette Smith and Swish were placed first in two different classes. Ninette achieved a second place with Glitz, and a second and third place with Sparkle. Gail Taylor and Fizz had one first and one third place and Gail and Spark one second place. Ann Shaw and Romulus placed third in one of their classes. Heather Moorcroft and Page went home with two second places.

Michelle Howard had one second place with Po and a first and one second place with Minnamoo. Gaby Frey and Scooby achieved two second places and one third place. Gaby and Kylie had one first, one second and one third place. Desiree Grutter and Dante were placed first in two of their classes. Tracey Norton and Georgie went home with one second place. Sheldene Fourie and Chloe placed first in one of their classes. Bernice Smit and Mindy were second and third in two different classes. Jenny Robertson and Jodie achieved a second place and Beryl Verwoerd and Spice achieved a third.

The next show is Hibiscus Kennel Club Open Show on July 10.
