Ski-boat capsizes off Shelly Beach

NSRI found all four people safely ashore and not injured.

A SKI-BOAT with four people on board capsized in the surf while returning to shore last Saturday.

The  National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) Shelly Beach was activated following reports from Shelly Beach Control Tower that the  ski-boat, Lollipop, had overturned.

Two men, aged 60 and two children, believed to be aged 8 and 11, from Johannesburg were assisted to shore by fisherman, other boaters, bystanders and those from Shelly Beach Control Tower.

Craig Lambinon, spokesman for NSRI, said that when they arrived, the NSRI crew found all four people safely ashore and not injured.
