PSSP steps up to support Keshivan

The U13 netball team played Port Shepstone High and won three of four matches.

PSSP pupils responded positively and held a successful ‘civvies day’ to support the Keshivan Govender Medical Fund. Proceeds were handed to chairman Basil Moodley to help cerebral palsy sufferer Keshivan Govender (3) travel to Thailand for stem cell treatment.

The school welcomed special guests Duduzile Ngcobo and former pupil and current UCT student Charnel Baker recently. Charnel was invited via Ugu District Youth Office to address grades 4 and 5 on the significance of Freedom Day.

The U12 and U14 boys’ volleyball teams competed in the PSVA knockout tournament at the Marburg Sports Complex last weekend. The U13 netball team played Port Shepstone High and won three of four matches.

Thanks go to Lindiwe Shozi, Wenzile Cele and Andiswa Tapu for generously sponsoring a new U13 netball kit and a SA netball ball. The junior soccer team drew 2-2 in a match against Margate Primary last Wednesday. Jordal Faro was nominated man of the match. The annual winter sports day takes place this Saturday, May 14.
