Apparent hit-and-run leaves two motorcyclists seriously injured

Paramedics found the two people lying in the road with serious injuries.

A MOTORCYCLE driver and his passenger were seriously injured in a collision with a taxi in Port Edward yesterday afternoon.

According to a statement released by Netcare 911, the accident occurred  in Ramsay Road near the R61.

“Reports from the scene indicate that a taxi hit the motorbike and left the scene without stopping,” said Netcare 911 spokesman, Chris Botha.

“Paramedics found the two people lying in the road with serious injuries. After medics stabilised them they were taken to hospital  under the constant care of an advanced life support paramedic,” he added.
