IN less than five days, a second discarded foetus has been discovered in a Port Shepstone pump house.

Port Shepstone police spokesman, Lieutenant-Colonel Zandra Wiid said that Warrant Officer Marc Wiid and Sergeant Rommel da Rosa from Port Shepstone K9 Search and Rescue were called to the Port Shepstone beachfront at around 10am today.

“The police were alerted after contractors who maintain the pump station found a human foetus,” she said.

Lt-Col Wiid confirmed that police would investigate a concealment of birth case.

Last Thursday, a municipal employee discovered a foetus at the sewerage pump house at ‘The Block’ on Port Shepstone beachfront.
