Elsie’s alleged murderer faces mental observation
He will spend the next two weeks undergoing mental observation.
MARIUS Nagel (23), who is facing attempted murder, murder and rape charges after the disappearance and death of Ella Sophia Potgieter, known as Elsie, appeared in the Pietermaritzburg High Court today.
He will spend the next 13 days at Fort Napier Hospital undergoing mental observation and will next appear in the Pietermaritzburg High Court on Wednesday, August 12.
Nagel is facing an attempted murder charge for a stabbing incident at a pub in Southport on October 24, and further charges for the murder and rape of Elsie, who was found dead after being missing for five days.
