A reminder: Pennington Conservancy invites the community to gather under the fig tree at Nkomba for Peta Kolevaon on violin with Kolio Kolev on cello from 13:00 to 15:00 on Sunday, May 28. Bring your own refreshments, picnic basket and chairs. There is free limited parking with a car attendant and tickets are R125. Booking is essential – call 083 4415084.

On World Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) Day (May 6), patients suffering with axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpa) and their supporters held a walk at the Durban Botanical Gardens to raise awareness of axial Spondyloarthritis (axSpa) and related conditions. Similar walks were held in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Every winter, Umdoni Retirement Village has a market . This year it will be on June 24 to be held in their hall. A few tables are still available. If you would like to take one, contact Lesley Perchman via WhatsApp on 083 2871296. No general store or imported goods.

For gardeners, farmworkers and all those who come into contact with alien invasive plants, there is training available. This is a Bazley Conservancy initiative supported by Elsa Pooley.
