One dead as car crashes off Anerley bridge and plunges into river
The person was declared dead on the scene.

The driver of a vehicle lost control and crashed off a bridge and into the river below in Anerley last night.
Chantell Botha, of KwaZulu Private Ambulance Service, said medics responded to the R102 near Anerley for reports of a collision.
When emergency services arrived, they found that a car, with a driver and passenger in it, had crashed off a bridge into the river below.
Paramedics quickly assessed the scene and found one person had sustained serious injuries.

Together with Saps Search and Rescue and Ray Nkonyeni Fire Department, paramedics first stabilised and then carried the person up the bank.
Sadly, a second person had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead on scene.
