Sabiha and Noel selected for inter-provincial tournaments

The latest Umkomaas Golf Club news and results.

Umkomaas Golf Club is proud to have two members selected to represent KZN at the upcoming inter-provincial tournaments.

Noel Parsonage is competing this week at the Super Seniors IPT at San Lameer, representing KZN for the second consecutive year. And, during the practise round held on Sunday, he made an ace – his fourth – on the 9th hole. We trust that this accuracy will continue throughout the week as he and his teammates aim to lift the trophy.

Sabiha Bacaus-Hulley competed in the KZN Championships held at Kloof Country Club and walked away as the winner of the overall best nett (36 holes) in the championship division.

She was also announced as a member of the KZN Mid-Amateur team who will compete in the first week of May at East London Golf Club. She was also selected as a reserve for the KZN team for the upcoming provincial 72-hole competition. We are so proud of the continued success Sabiha achieves.

The third instalment of the BetterBall league took place on Saturday with 66 competitors vying for top honours on the day and to add to their league tally. Gustav Schmidt and Tom Naicker took top spot on an impressive 43 points, while second, third, and fourth place was determined on a count-out on 42 points. Barry Taylor and Viv Naicker counted out Damien O’Connell and Matthew Griffiths, who in turn counted out Mark Bezencon and Rob Griffiths.
